Age Friendly Cities and/or Ambition for Ageing Community Events
Age UK Salford is working in partnership with Inspiring Communities Together to host Community Engagement Events across Salford. At these events we aim to share information of Age Friendly Cities and wish to invite anyone over the age of 50 to tell us how Salford could be a better place to grow old. Salford is proud to be an Age Friendly City but we have more work to do and so we need your help.
Some of you may have attended the big listen at Buile Hill Park in September where the aims were to:
- Raise awareness of what an age friendly city is, to improve the lives of older people in Salford.
- Gain people’s views on what they feel are priorities for Salford becoming an even better age friendly city
- Provide various future opportunities for older people to become involved in the planning, development and delivery of the age well priorities in their own neighbourhoods, supporting Salford to become an age friendly city.
These events will help this good work continue through conversations. Come and find out how you can make a difference in your community and influence the future planning of older people’s services in Salford.
